Today I went to the East Valley Business Expo. It wasn’t held in Gilbert, but the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce was one of the partners. Other partners included the Chandler Chamber, Tempe Chamber and Mesa Chamber. The Mesa Convention Center was a perfect host for the Expo.
The networking was great! Many of my friends from leads clubs, chamber activities and customers were there looking at new products, presenting their business and taking advantage of the more than 1000 business opportunities the expo offered.
Alonzo Russell of A.L. Russell & Associates was one of the sponsors and expressed he was very happy about the turnout. A.L. Russell & Associates specialize in Innovative solutions to help businesses and medical practices grow and succeed.
Gilbert was represented by so many businesses I’m unable to mention all of them. It is very exciting to see so many people involved in getting their business out there to the community in any way they can.
Massage Heights had a busy booth giving massages to the participants. Of course Barry always keeps things going with the most interesting and engaging conversations. Massage Heights has won several industry awards for quality and customer service over the last few years.
I missed the workshop by Jack Smith of TheSocialLatte.com, but I heard it was very well done and very advanced thinking for small businesses.
In the back, or at least I’m calling it the back, were 4 of the most fabulous food samples you could get. Vito’s Resturant, California Pizza Kitchen, Famous Dave’s BBQ and Wildflower Bread Company clearly worked together to provide quality samples for every taste.
Fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate (just typing that makes me want one) were given out freely by Alan Mandel of A Mug You Can Trust. Alan’s normal business is carpet steam extraction and cleaning, but today it was dipping strawberries. Come on, really, that is a mug you can trust right?
It was great to see the businesses of Gilbert represented so well at the East Valley Business Expo. I was also impressed by the number of self employed business owners who attended the expo. I’m thinking I should have a booth next year.
