Wow, this is an amazing facility! I’m not sure where to start, Crosswoods Indoor Golf Center offers so much in the way of entertainment, relaxation, instruction and play that my short blog will miss something.
Crosswoods Indoor Golf Center is the first indoor
golf entertainment and game improvement center in Arizona. Golf Pro Mike Russ had the concept and 3.5 years ago the center was opened to the public. Owners Bev and Brad Lafebvre run both the Gilbert and Chandler facilities.
The PGA official simlators are incredibly accurate. Each course requires over 40,000 man hours to program. A course, like Pebble Beach, is shut down and an army of people with camera and gps’ sweep the tees, fairways and greens to gather the information needed to program a perfect 360 degree virtual golf course. When you play a round on the simulator, you are seeing what someone saw while they were mapping the course.
Crosswoods in Gilbert has 10 simulators. Each one offers over 35 different courses from 7 countries to play and enjoy. Courses like Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill or Harbor Town can be played in about an hour. The driving range collect shot information like ball flight, spin rate, launch angles and more to help you improve your game.
The building is over 10,000 square feet and can host group events up to 150 people. There is a conference room (with simulator) for groups up to 24. The simulators can also be used for presentations or watching the big games.
Leagues and Tournaments are also an exciting part of the Crosswoods experience. With ongoing sign-ups, there is a full selection of leagues to choose from. Men’s, Women’s, Couples and a seasonal Seniors league. Tournaments are scheduled throughout the year, check with the staff for more information. This year the American Long Drive Association (ALDA) held the qualifiers for the Re/Max World Long Drive Championships at Crosswoods Indoor Golf of Chandler.
You don’t have to take a break between the 9th hole and 1oth holes to stock up on food and drinks. Each station has seating for everyone to enjoy food and beverages while they golf. Crosswoods offers a full menu from pizza and wings to sandwiches and burgers, as well as a variety of soft drinks, beer and wine.
